I eat my emotions all the the time. It’s taken me 3 years to lose 40lbs of emotional eating from my ex fiance that cheated and broke my heart so I know all about it and I am so not judging you. Besides, your list isn’t all that bad; trust me. 🙂

You make me laugh… I because last week that was me diet LOL…. But next week I hope I eat more healthier :). Take control of the situation don’t let the m&m’s and cupcakes take them. XOXO

Excellent! If you really want to eat the pain away, potatoes and gravy is the way forward. It’s impossible to be upset when you have potatoes and gravy.

You are too cute, and that entire list sounded really yummy! So I like most people on here, saw you on the Real L Word and got immediately taken with you and Kacy and your journey. I (like so many others) have been there too….the depression, the frustration, the outright anger and the tears. I didn’t think I could have a baby. The docs knew early on that it wasn’t going to be easy for me and they were right. I went on Clomid (horrible stuff isn’t it?) and hormones and after 14 months of nothing I decided to stop trying for a while. I couldn’t take the stress and it was becoming a strain on my relationship. 2 months after I stopped thinking about it, I got pregnant. I have a 2 yr old now, and I still look at him and can’t believe that it all worked out. Hang in there….try not to let it consume you (I know it’s hard). Focus on you and Kacy and try really hard to let go a bit….it’s not something you can control as I know you have realized, so trust in your body and let it do it’s thing. I hope you and Kacy continue being the awesome girls that you are and I can’t wait for the next season! 🙂

last night, at 10pm, my wife and I had this uncontrollable urge for some Ben & Jerry’s. Thankfully, she went to the store and we ended a junk food filled day with some yummy ice cream. I don’t regret it, and you shouldn’t regret or feel bad about your food intake today. You are going through so many different emotions right now and are entitled.

Be good to yourself. You are a wonderful person with a wonderful wife who will someday soon have a wonderful child to add to your family. I am sending positive vibes to Team Unicorn!

Hi Ladies!! My partner and I follow you guys from watching the show and I wanted to send our support out there to you!!! We know first hand the struggles associated with TTC in the lesbian realm of life. It will happen. It will. We have a 2 year old upstairs taking a nap right now to show for it. We’ve been TTC #2 for over a year (off and on) so we understand the pain
and frustration. My advice: don’t be afraid to
shake it up and try new doctors and drugs like
clomid and such. It will happen. We wish you loads of luck in the future!! And above all: lots of chocolate and wine!!!!! Lots and lots
Of it!!! 🙂 good luck!! Hugs!

My husband & I got hooked on the RLW this summer-free Showtime because I called and bitched about it!
Anyway, love you guys! Praying for you….I went thru a lot to get my youngest daughter, and looking back and I can see how everything was for a reason (you’re sick of hearing that, I get it, but it’s true!)
If I ever pop my “flying cherry” and go anywhere near L.A., would love to meet you guys someday. From what I saw, you rock! And if you ever want to live out your redneck fantasies here in southwest Virginia, hit us up.
Take care and love & good vibes from Blacksburg, VA…home of Virginia Tech (where I work!)

Feelings… Here I am… feeling like I am on a parallel plain to yours. We are headed to the fertility clinic today. My partner is ovulating. Our last sample awaits at the clinic. Will we succeed? Will her breasts hurt? Will she be naucious ? Will we be greeted with amazing news in two weeks? Or will we be hurt, let down and scrambling again wondering how to purchase the exorbitantly priced cost of life for lesbian parents?
    *sigh*
Off to the clinic nervous and scared.

Thinking of you and Kacy ❤

Hey don’t we all, eat our emotions that is.

Good luck to you and Kacy, I’m sure your baby will find you soon he/she is just out there waiting for the right time and next thing you know they’ll be five years old and you’ll laugh at all the stresses you put yourself through.

I wanted to tell you that my partner and I were in the middle of our two week wait when a friend told us that we should watch the Real L Word. The same friend even set up a blog and told me I needed to write (not only to document the journey, but for my own sanity) I didn’t know what the hell to write (or what a blog even was), so I wrote about how you and Kacy stole our mojo. LOL, it was naive to think that we were the only two lesbians in the world who were trying to get pregnant, but that’s how it felt. Hell, it still feels like it sometimes because it gets so discouraging.

Anyhow, I just wanted to tell you that we think you and Kacy are fantastic and will make terrific mothers. You were the reason we tuned in every week.

I’m not going to tell you that “it will happen when you least expect it” or that “everything happens for a reason” because it pisses me off when people say them to us (though I know they’re just trying to me supportive) Instead, I’m going to say that we’re thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way!!!

Stay strong and remember to breathe.

Oh, one more thing…there is a GLBT fertility group on babycenter (there’s a link on my blog or you could probably just google it). The women are VERY supportive. It definitely helps when you have a hard day. Sometimes just knowing you have an answer that can help someone else is enough to pick you back up….sending positive thoughts your way

Hi Cori, my wife and I watched you and Kacy on RLW too, and it was well-timed because we were starting our baby-making process right around the same time. I had to laugh when you went through the first TWW and analyzed every little thing happening with your body – I was exactly the same during our first try – and it’s super disappointing when the test comes back negative. We keep being postponed because of some stupid issue or another (polyps, too-high hormone levels, etc. etc. etc.) and sometimes I wonder if it’s ever going to happen. I’m trying to stay positive…and as soon as I figure out exactly how, I’ll let you know 🙂 I think all we can do is be thankful we have amazing wives who hold our hands through the scary parts, give us tissues when we cry uncontrollably, and laugh with us when we have to have yet another embarrassing conversation about our private parts with the doctors.

I’m on the GLBT fertility board Jen mentioned above, and it’s good to read the stories of other women who are going through the same process. It’s been a nice reality check for me.

You helped a lot of people by putting your story out there – it took a lot of courage – and you two were definitely the highlight of our week.

I’ll be checking back in and wishing you the best of luck!

I wish I could give you and Kacy a big hug right now. I am thinking of you, much more often than I should really think about people I have never met. I think of you when we pass the kids section at Target, and when I see a young couple out with their newborn. My prayer in those moments are “Please let that be Cori and Kacy now”. You two found a place in my heart as we watched the trainwreck that was TRLW each week (no offense to you). We really only watched for you. Just know there are prayers being spoken on your behalf at the most random times. I hope you can find some peace in that.

Its funny as I read this stuff I feel like I’m reading my own thoughts . I never thought I would get so attatched to people I have never met.

    Core and Kacy,

I watched the Real L Word and my sister and I couldn’t get over how much we loved the two of you! I started reading this book (for birth control purposes, actually) but kept thinking to myself that if only I could contact you two and tell you to get ahold of it, it might make your process at least a LITTLE easier. You may have heard of it, but in case you haven’t, even if you don’t use it for your conception purposes, I believe every woman should read it:

Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. Get the 2006 edition. Tis book changed my life!

  24. Dirtydee August 17, 2011 at 10:59 am #

Good luck on conceiving! We went though it and now have a beautiful little girl! We did it ourselves, if you have any ?’s feel free to ask!

I also had the hysterosalpingogram and although the results were normal, I did get pregnant that month with the assistance of clomid. My DR informed me that many people do get pregnent when they have the hysterosalpingogram. I loved watching your story on the show and I wish you and your sweet Kaci, the very best. Your child will be so lucky to be born to such wonderfully loving parents. Thank you for your openess. Crossing fingers for you both this month….may this be your cycle!!!!!!
